Interior

From the start we thought that an interior which was a different colour to the exterior would look great so we contrasted the Nimbus Grey with Biege.

We decided to make new door cards that were a lot smoother than the originals and would look a lot better with the theme we were going for.
The door cards are made out of wood rather than metal so they were ligher and would not rattle when driving along. We were originally going to trim the door cards in Beige leather but enough leather to cover the cards was going to cost hundreds, so as luck would have it a guy at our local market said he could get us some vinyl in Biege which looked exactly the same for just £4 a square metre..wow.
So not surprisingly we got £40 worth to do all the floor, door cards and speaker sub box.

Here are some pictures of the interior in the making. the bare wooden cards then trimmed in vinyl.

The pictures show the door cards in there wooden state before the trim and the interior stripped for the paint, then the interior after the paint and the rear floor pan trimmed.Looking a million times better I must add! The other pictures below show the interior parts trimmed in the vinyl.still not completed but well on there way. Also there is a picture of the spare wheel well with the perspex window in.

Also parts for the interior included a polished roll cage and strut brace, custom made speaker boxes, bucket seats, Tv and dvd, and tons of alloy accessories.
A lot of the alloy accessories we picked up at Gti international.

Above: note the custom made gear shift surrround, this too will be trimmed in biege, also the amp has now been fitted behind the custom made rear door card.
The seats were new and so were the harnesses, this gives the car a rear racing feel.
Next came the roll cage and the strut brace, this took a long time to arrive but when it came it was perfect, it fitted like a glove and looked the nuts!!.
This was the interior nearly finished, the other parts we have put in were beige mats and a fire extinguisher. All that needed doing now was to slot in the head unit and give the interior a nice clean and polish as it was a bit grubby from all the work.
